Group of ten mostly mining and western states stock certificates and bonds, some rare, c1853-1900. Includes a rare Gold Rush stock, Anglo-Californian Gold Mining Company, No. 99664, issued to Frederick Ball on January 6th, 1853. Not canceled. Spindle holes. Approx. 7.5" x 8" with clipped left edge. This was the largest foreign issue of a California Gold Rush venture that we know of. The company literally sold thousands of shares. Others included are: Silver Nugget Mining Company, Arizona, 1881, not canceled; Unadilla Mining Company, Colorado, 1880, not canceled; The Findley Gold Mining Company, Colorado, 1899, not canceled; The Acacia Gold Mining Company, Colorado, 1899, canceled; Little Butte Extension Mining Co., California, 1898, not canceled; Calaveras Water and Mining Company, California, 1882, not canceled; and Columbia and Beaver Silver Mining Company, New York, 1887, not canceled.
