Pass issued for 1880 to H. Silver (Denver & Rio Grande Railway). Signed by R.C. Kerens as general superintendent. Printed on gray/blue cardstock by A. Gast & Co., St. Louis. Heavy wear: hard to read text, soiling and water damage. Please see photos. This company was organized in 1874 and established daily service in 1875, operating between Ft. Worth, Texas and San Diego, California. The main route was 1,700 miles long. As railroads began to spring up on the route, most service was shifted to Arizona. Headquarters moved from San Diego to Yuma to Tucson. (Prag Collection) City: State: Date: Inventory# 39116
