This is a Texas Commemorative lucky penny from the Texas Centennial Exposition dated 1836-1936. It is a lucky penny that is 3 in. in diameter. Visible is the lone star on copper plating. There is also a commemorative coin depicting Mr. J.M. Davis as a gun collector and philanthropist framed in a plastic case and stand. Mr. Davis was known throughout Oklahoma to give people meals and a room in exchange for a firearm. Provenance is the J.M. Davis Museum.
