Lot of 35. Mostly with advertising. The premier piece is a full face General Land Office, Auston, Texas. Not far behind is the El Paso (right on the Mexican border) with corner cover “Limitada del Ferrocarril Central Mexicana. The Ferrocarril Central Mexicano was one of the existing railway services before the nationalization of railways in Mexico. The company was formed in Massachusetts in 1880, The line crossed the Rio Grande at El Paso, Texas where it connected to the Southern Pacific Railroad. There are seven hotels: McClelland in Waco, Le Paso in Fort Worth, Central in El Paso. Seven attorney corner covers. JL Harle of Corsicana with letter requesting the sale date and place in Tyler. Twelve advertising covers with the usuals: banks, real estate, merchants, druggist JC Heaton of Victoria, Woodward of Texarkana liquor dealer, Texas & Pacific RY, Golf, Colorado & Santa Fe Ry, etc. There is a nice double circle 1881 Osceola postmark with a star in circle cancel.
