Cabinet card of a painting done by OA McCormick of the Texas Spring Palace fire that occurred on May 30th, 1890. Photograph by JE Daniel. Reverse has faint pencil inscription that appears to be from 1896. Upper right corner of the cabinet card is very creased (almost detached). As is. 4.25 x 6.5" The structure was part of a regional agricultural and immigration exposition in Fort Worth designed to attract settlers and investors to Texas. It was built in 1889. The fire occurred in 1890. Only one life was lost.
