Nice 1810 descriptions of towns, rivers, etc. Contents toned and damp stained. Cover and binding are well worn, but intact. Two maps are stained, but not discernible rips or tears. Jedidiah was the author of the first textbook on American geography published in the United States, Geography Made Easy (1784). His geographical writings dominated the field in the United States until his death. He was an author and minister, but was best known for his education books and gazetteers. The inventor Samuel F.B.
