An amazing set of approximately 109 stereocards, copyright 1900 by Underwood & Underwood, showing scenes that took place during the British-Boer War. These stereocards are all in good condition with sharp and clear, undamaged image pairs with one-line image descriptions on the backs of most of them in English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish, and Russian. The cards are slightly curved as is common for stereocards, and there are ~54 of them on an ivory card stock, and ~55 of them on dark gray card stock. The reason for the color division is unknown. All of the cards fit in a leatherette cardboard box with gold-foil embossed letters on the lid that read // BRITISH-BOER / WAR // and a sunburst trademark logo for Sun Sculpture. The subject of these stereocards is the Second Boer War which pitted Great Britain against the free and independent Boer states of the South African Republic (Republic of Transvaal) and the Orange Free State from October 1899 to May 1902.
