A Descriptive History of a Great County. "Relating to Mining, Agriculture, Stock and Scenery." By William McCabe. Printed in Red Cliff, Colorado, September 1899. Brown softcovers with stapled binding. 63 pages with photographs. In his preface, McCabe states he has written this "not for the purpose of creating a boom in mining, real estate, or stock, but to procure recognition for the greatness of one of the most productive and prosperous counties in the state." The discussion of mining in the county takes up pages 24-41. Photo of Gillman ("a town whose streets are ore"), Holy Cross Mining Company, and Beldan. Deep horizontal fold, covers are coming loose, otherwise clean pages. 8" x 5"
