Zachariah N. Winkler, Samuel T. Knapp, Augustus Seaborn Jones and associates incorporated the Fighting Town Mining Company. To explore for copper, silver, gold, etc. Meeting to be held at Pierceville in Fannin County. The book, "Masters of the Big House: Elite Slaveholders of the Mid-Nineteenth-Century South" lists Jones who was raising rice as one of the elite slave owners. Extra rare
