This book gives an account of the Chicago Fire in 1871. "The Great Conflagration" by James W. Sheahan & George P. Upton c1871. Written the same years as the fire, this book tries to ascertain how the fire started (It wasn't Mrs. O'Leary's Cow) and tries to prepare for any future disasters that might befall the great city. Book is in sad condition, with bindery issues, foxing and some edge fraying on pages. Boards are very loose and scuffed with bump damage. Please see photos for more detail and condition.
