Cert. #830, issued at Denver in 1905 to William B. Reilley for 1000 sh., signed by W.R. Benzie as president and J.M. Shrotz as secretary. The company made a rich strike in the Straub shaft at 340', a 1" streak showing 96 oz. gold and 15 oz. silver per ton. Sinking was going to a depth of 500 feet. W. Ballantine of Central City was in charge (E.M.J. #75, 1903). W.R. Benzie was a treasurer of the Empire Mint Mining Co. in Clear Creek County and also president of Goldfield Gem Gold Mines in Nevada' s Goldfield district.
