Great name! Lillian Russell was a famous American singer and actress in the late part of the 19th century. She also visited Colorado many times, including performing at the Tabor Opera House. Inc. in Colorado. No. 174, issued for 10,000 shares to Chas. H. Rogers, agent, on Jan. 5th, 1897 in Colorado Springs. Signed by vice-president W. Davey and secretary A.A. Doyle. Not cancelled. Brown border and ornate title. 8.25 x 10" Deep folds with some separation. Not listed in Hills. There was a Lillian Russell Gulch in Gilpin County. However, a March 8th, 1896 Boston Sunday Globe newspaper article announces that the Lillian Russell is the name of one of the newest Cripple Creek mines. () Ken Prag Collection
