This is a treasure trove of cinematic and theatrical hand bills, programs, advertisements, and other printed materials that celebrated the 1920s and 30s live theater and the nascent talking movie scene. Most items are from California venues, but there is even one from Cleveland, Ohio. Recognizable venues include the Curran Theater and Geary Theater, and Golden Gate Park among many others. You'll even find one promoting Mary Pickford. More than 125 pieces (stopped counting then). Photo shows a representative sampling, and any movie and theater aficionado will delight in sorting through this extensive collection.
