This is a collection of personal ephemera that belonged to a man named Thomas Brownlie, apparently a train engineer who worked on the Cleveland Route of the Northern Pacific Railway out of Chinook, Montana. Some of the pieces in this collection indicate that Brownlie was also interested in model train building and circuses. These pieces include several model train and hobby shop order forms as well as many pictures and newspaper clippings related to European circuses. This collection also contains pieces of personal family correspondence, greeting cards, postcards, etc. There are also photographs of some of his family members circa 1955. Many other pieces of miscellaneous ephemera are included in this collection like catalog pages, blank checks, invoices, and more. In total, there are about 80 pieces in this collection.

Newspaper clippings about circus parades, Holland Classical Circus, and the Great Adam Forepaugh Parade, and the “Lord” George Sanger Parade
Small piece of adhesive paper from 1943 that says, “Circus Parades Have Gone… Let’s Keep the Circus!”
Pieces of personal correspondence, greeting cards, letter related to the funeral of a family member, Jeanie Brownlie, etc.
