An exquisite pair if gold and silver plated flintlock pistols made by the Williamsburg Firearms Co. for the United States Historical Foundation in 1980. These beautiful guns are working exact copies of Thomas Jefferson’s pair which are on display at his Home the ‘Monticello’ Museum. 1000 matching pair were produced with exact scroll engraving gold plating with Silver plated lock plate hammer and trigger and trigger guard. Sterling silver grotesque butt plate face and sterling silver initial plate inlaid in beautiful burl wood stocks with “TJ’ inscribed in script denoting Thomas Jefferson. These are the “screw barrel dueling flintlocks that come with a gold plated screw wrench, 40 caliber bullet mold and a period ebony handled screwdriver. The name;’ DEALTRY’ is on the left side of the receiver ‘, LONDON’ is on the right and the period correct ‘British Proof Mark is behind the trigger guard.
