A collection of 6 engraved sheet music pieces published by Thomas Birch, c1850-60s. Each has a background in brown or dark green, most framed by ornate blue and black design. Birch was an engraver, active from 1820-1867. Each composition is printed "New York: Thos. Birch, Music Engraver, Printer and Publisher, Wholesale and Retail." Music titles include: "The Soldier's Tear," as Sung by Mrs. Austin & Miss Watson, written by Thomas Haynes Bayley, composed by Alexander Lee; "Pensez A. Moi," composed and arranged for the Piano Forte, by Mr. Drake; "O Saw Ye My Mary," as sung by Mr. Wood, written by Jo. O. Cummings, esqr. A.M., composed by Mr. Joshua Done.; "Good Night Love," as written by Mr. James Nack, arranged by Signor A. Bagioli; "The Missletoe Bough," as sung by Mr. Sinclair ... at the Park Theatre, New York (destroyed by fire Dec. 16, 1848), composed by Henry R. Bishop, "entered according to the Act of Congress, in the year 1833, by Thomas Birch, in the Clerk's office of the District Court of the Southern District of New York," at bottom.
