Lot of 3, two different mining companies. 1) Calaveras Hydraulic Mining Company. Central Hill District, Calaveras Co., Cal. (printed under title). No. 66, issued for 1,300 shares to president William H. McKnight on March 11th, 1875 in San Francisco. Signed by McKnight and also secretary Abram Shear. Not cancelled. Black border and print. Blue 25 cent IR adhesive revenue stamp attached on the left. Printed by Geo. B. Hitchcock & Co. Folds. Rough left border with pieces missing. Some staining on that side too. 5.5 x 9.75" Central Hill is 1 mile south of Murphys. 2) Calaveras Water and Mining Company. One unissued and one issued. Issued stock is from 1882, punch and stamp cancelled. Green border and black print. Folds, pinholes. 5 x 10" The property was located 3.5 miles north of Milton and included the Whiskey Hill gravel mine and a series of water ditches 21 miles in length.
