Three biographies about three different Civil War generals. First, we have "Pickett...and His Men," written by his widow Lasalle Corbell Pickett. There are issues, with a few loose pages and some staining on the boards.
Next, is the autobiography of Gen. George McClellan. Book is dated 1887 and shows a slight bindery separation, although tissue and flay pages are intact. Cover embossing is sharp and boards show normal corner wear.
Interestingly, a previous owner of this book kept news clippings that include Mrs. McClellan's obituary and an article about McClellan's son the former mayor of New York City, among others.
Lastly, a first edition of the biography of Winfield Scott by Edward D. Mansfield Esq. Book condition shows some small tears and corner wear on the boards. Tissues and fly pages are intact, but there is some foxing. Please see photos for more detail and condition.
