Folds and spindle cancel. 2) RN-D1, issued in 1874 to Jos. Fredericks for $2. Signed by John Mackay. Very clean. 3) RN-C21, issued in 1871 to D.H. Bisbee for $250. Signed by James G. Fair. Spindle cancel. Clean. The Mariposa Mill was located in Sevenmile Canyon south of the Sierra Nevada Mine. In 1867, it was controlled by William Sharon and the Bank of California and known as the California Mill. In 1871, it was processing ore from the Hale & Norcross Mine.
