Every year in Leadville, dozens of diggers flock to the old dumps in search of tokens and bottles. I've seen hundreds of drug bottles and dozens of soda bottles from Leadville found by the diggers. But few are sparkling mint, which is why this Leadville section of drug bottles and soda is a bit exceptional. The Schmidt bottles are generally more common. One of the best of the Schmidt bottles is the embossed Hutch soda in the Tombstone slug plate, one of the three here. The other two are varieties. The soda with only "leadville" embossed on the face and "S" (Schmidt) on the bottom is the most common. All 3 are generally mint, aqua. c1883-1904. State:Colorado City:Leadville Date: ID#46969
