Three documents that all are for payment in U.S. gold coin. 1) Drexel Morgan & Co. San Francisco, 1872. First of Exchange. Pay to London & San Francisco Bank Limited $1000 in U.S. gold coin. Reverse has endorsements. Two brown, 25 cent IR adhesive stamps attached at left. Drexel Morgan & Co. was founded in 1871 by Philadelphia banker Anthony Drexel and his prot_g_, J.P. Morgan. 2) Pacific Mill and Mining Co. (stamp over Trench Mill). Virginia, Nevada. Sept. 4, 1880. Pay $45.75 in Coin for Sundry Bills. RN-G1 revenue imprint. 3) Letter from the Placer County Bank in Auburn, California. Dated Oct. 10, 1910. Addressed to Wells Fargo & Co. in Sacramento. Regarding a perceived overcharge in the processing of a shipment of $2000 in gold coin. Portion of upper left missing. Stamped by the Wells Fargo office in Sacramento. Date: hwac 21052
