1) Map of Indian Territory and Oklahoma, 1890. Railroads, Indian Territory and Oklahoma. Authorized by Congress. The Territory of Oklahoma was an organized incorporated territory of the United States that existed from May 2, 1890, until November 16, 1907, when it was joined with the Indian Territory under a new constitution and admitted to the Union as the State of Oklahoma. The 1890 Oklahoma organic act organized the eastern half of Indian Territory and a strip of country known as No Man's Land into Oklahoma Territory. Reservations in the new territory were then opened to settlement in land runs later that year and in 1891 and 1893. (24" x 31") 2) Department of Interior General Land Office, J. A. Williamson, Commissioner. Map of Indian Territory, compiled by C.l Roeser, 1876. ( 27" x 33") Nice map, but torn at all folds, very delicate. 3) Map of Oklahoma Territory. From the corrected Map of the General Land Office of 1898 and from data on file in the Executive Office of the Territory, to accompany The Annual Report of the Governor of the Territory, 1900. Under the direction of Harry King, C. E. Chief of Drafting Division. (16" x 23") Beautiful map in great condition.
