Lot includes 3 pairs of matched, brass luggage tags, two with original leather fobs: #1270, #1502, and #1746. "San Fo to NY via Panama." Matched pairs had one piece that went with the luggage attached to the fob and the other piece was retained by passenger. Luggage tags on the return trip would have been designated as NY to San Fo. Please see photos for condition: brass and leather degraded, some leather in pieces. Found in the S.S. Central America shipwreck on the edge of the gold room debris in a large clump. Approx. 1.75" x 1.75".
