A Paper Presented to the American Institute of Mining Engineers. Approx. 50 pages long. Soft cover, binding a little loose but intact. 9" x 6" Discusses variables such as the temperature, humidity, air velocity, and various ventilating systems present in the Union, Ophir, Gould & Curry, Savage, Sutro Tunnel, Hale & Norcross, and other Comstock mines. Many tables and illustrations through-out. Last section even includes results of blood testing they completed on Comstock miners! This booklet contains rare and unusual data for a very important aspect of working underground and miner safety. Essential for a Comstock or Nevada mining library. 2) A Summary of the Geology of the Comstock Lode and the Washoe District by George F. Becker. 40 pp. with a geological map of Virginia City and other diagrams. This appears to predate the official release, as there is a footnote stating that it is almost complete.
