Trio of exchanges this California Gold Rush banking firm. Issued 1856, 1859, and 1860. All to be drawn on the Bank of the State of New York. 3.5 x 8" Folds, creases. Tallant & Wilde established as a private bank in 1850 during the California Gold Rush. Wilde died in 1863 and John McKee, cashier, joined Tallant to become Tallant & Company. They incorporated as a state bank in 1891.
