Lot of 3. 1. Company Stock; Incorporated in South Dakota, March 1906; No. A21445 issued October 22, 1909 to I.C. Flitcraft for 100 shares; signed by J. T. Carstairs, President and G.L.R. Thompson, Assistant Secretary; printed by American Banknote Company, Philadelphia, U/C; endorsed on reverse. The Tramp was an important mine on the west side of Rhyolite. Production numbers are lacking. However, in a 1907 report by a U. S. Geological Survey, it says, “The Tramp Consolidated Mining Company (including the Tramp, Eclipse, and Dennis claims) has ores of grade reported too low for shipment and smelter treatment” [http://www.rhyolitenevada.com/united_states_geological_surveys.html]. 2. Tramp stock no. 521 issued October 23, 1906 to H.B. Heall for 1000 shares; signed by J. T. Carstairs, President and (illegible), Assistant Secretary; printed by American Banknote Company, Philadelphia, U/C. 3. Letter dated September 13, 1906 from W.W. Blackman of Rhyolite addressed to Mr. Hugh Brown, Tonopah, Nevada. Measures 8.5x11.25” with the heading “The Tramp Consolidated Mining Co.” The writer was asking Mr. Brown to look at an enclosed letter to Mr. Thurtell, the state engineer.
