1 ) White Pine District, Nevada (printed at upper right). Incorporated March 17, 1869. 1869 was the height of the rush to White Pine. #150 for 150 shares to H. Schwarz on March 26, 1869 in San Francisco. Signed by president Theodore Meetz and secretary W. F. R. Schindler. Not cancelled. Printed by Alta California Printing House. This printer is not seen on Nevada stock certificates often, even though it was an important printing house. Incorporation and quarterly meetings were all we found about this company. 2) Inc. in New York. No. 50, issued for 25 shares to John Bailey on Jan. 10th, 1866 in New York. Signed by president BG Bloss and secretary Brazier. Not cancelled. Black border and print. Printed by Corlies & Macy. The exact location of this company is unknown. An 1875 article in the Sacramento Daily Union mentions that the "ten stamp mill of the Globe Silver Mining Company, about fourteen miles from Hiko, with dwelling house, blacksmith shop, etc. will be sold at Sheriff's sale in Pioche..." 3) # 59 for 100 shares to F. A. McGee dated April 27, 1877. Signed by F. A. McGee, trustee and secretary, and T. H. Alexander, president. Incorporated March 27, 1877. Located Lander & Elko Counties, Nev. Assessment #1 payment noted on back signed by McGee. Title in fancy script. The Virginia Evening Chronicle ran a notice saying "Location: Lander & Elko Counties." This means this was a speculative stock. Additional information as found included.
