1) Belmont, 1877. German (haus, vil) vil deliver 20 cords of pine to Court Haus. Addressed to J. Nichols, district court clerk and later a commissioner. 2) VERY EARLY 1864 Unionville. "have a nice little garden by the cabin." "not satisfied with Unionville." Talk of a new lumber mill near Red Bluff and the sacrifices that must be made. "but the price must be paid in GOLD." 3) Dayton, 1870. Written to John Huber of Mineral Hill. Letter mentions Mr. Curtis of Austin. "Our Salt (Eagle Salt Works) is located on line of the C. P. R.
