1. The Lost bullion Spanish Mines Co.. incorporated 1906 State of Arizona. Located property on Bear Mountain near Silver City, New Mexico. The owners claimed the property contained huge reserves of high-grade gold and silver ores. A large number of shares were sold to investors out east which caught the attention of the U. S. Postal Service, who sent people to investigate the property. When they arrived, they found nothing but a cave with no gold or silver ore. This venture brought in a good amount of money before the directors were convicted in court of mining fraud.
