Lot of three unique historical items in excellent condition. All from President Grover Cleveland's March 4, 1893 Inauguration for his second term. Cleveland served his first term 1885-1889, and was re-elected in 1893, becoming the first president to hold two non-consecutive terms. 1) Two Cards of Admission to the Inauguration printed on light purple cardstock. Each measures 7 1/4"x 3." Nos. 420 and 422. "This will admit the Bearer to the SENATE wing of the Capitol." Vignette of Capitol Building. Both punch cancelled. One card has a crease running through it. Both have small bent corners. Overall, very nice condition. Reverse of both tickets is signed by E.K. Valentine, Sergt. at Arms, U.S.S. Valentine was a Nebraska congressman who also served in the Civil War. 2) Order of Procession for the Inauguration. Two pages front and back printed on heavy cardstock. Ornate border and vignette on cover. Illustration on back of White House. The inside text details the order for the procession outside from the Senate Chamber. The two pieces of cardstock are not connected-perhaps they once were? Light scuffs to front and back, some corners bent. Overall, very good condition. Date: 1893 DC hwac 20817
