This tin powder flask is meant to hold about 1/2 pound of black powder for a muzzleloading shotgun. C.1840's-1860's. The measure spout is adjustable from 3 to 4 drams a powder. This measurement would be for either 12 gauge or 10 gauge shotgun of the period. The flask is intact without breaks or repairs. The spring closer at the spout is missing. Overall very good condition. No maker's mark. 9 in.
