Early for this company. No. 1037, issued to F.W. Thompson (Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific RR). Printed signature of H.R. Hanlin (gen. superintendent) and countersigned by R.B. Gribble on reverse. Cardstock. Light wear. This railroad operated 1905-1947 from Mina to Goldfield (100.4 miles). It was a merger of two earlier railroads: Tonopah Railroad (1903-1904) and Goldfield Railroad. In 1905, they worked to extend the railroad from Tonopah to Goldfield and past Sodaville to Mina, also converting the tracks to standard gauge. Its biggest competition was from the Tonopah & Tidewater Railroad and Las Vegas & Tonopah Railroad. (Prag Collection) City: Tonopah State: Nevada, Date: Inventory# 39073
