Certificate issued at Tonopah, Nevada in 1906 for 2,000 shares to Edward J. Kurtz. Signed by Z. (Zeb) Kendall as president and Hugh H. Brown as secretary. attractive extra wide certificate shows a miner pushing an ore cart outside the portal. Flowers on each side of the vignette. Zeb Kendall, the president went to Delamar in 1896 and arrived in Tonopah in the early days. In 1902, he built the Palace Hotel, the first hostelry in Tonopah. He later opened the January lease in Goldfield and struck it lucky. Kendall later started his own brokerage firm and became the president of the Goldfield stock exchange. The certificate has extra fold lines and small splits at bottom. Uncancelled. Date 1906 Tonopah, NV hwac 8763
