Three different Bryan stereoviews. 1) Two c.1897 Keystone cards: # 5061 showing Bryan addressing the Christian Endeavor Convention in San Francisco and rare # 42052 showing portraits of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan. 2) Keystone c.1908 card # 16501 showing Bryan and Kern, Democratic nominees for President and Vice President. Bryan was the Democratic presidential nominee three times, losing to McKinley in 1896 and 1900, and then Taft in 1908. He "invented" the idea of political candidates doing "stump" tours. He believed in bimetallism, arguing against the Gold Standard. He was also an opponent of Darwinism and argued for the prosecution in the famous Scopes Trial.
