Datelined Tulare City, Nov 15, 1885. Nice vignette of an allegorical woman in a long gown sitting bare back on an antelope. Possibly written by the Tulare Drug Store owner, initials A H. H. to the writer's sister. Most of the letter discusses health, friends, family and general gossip. Interesting content in this letter, near the last paragraph which states, "... Now I will tell you all I know about the Paper, that one I gave you my sister brought here and gave it to me about two or three years ago she sent me the death of the Editor of the Two Republics printed in the City of Mexico his name was G. W. Clark. This paper was sent to Jess Harper as an exchange for the Danville Commercial, it was also sent to Ike Hall who was then in Seattle W. T. I don'know where he is now, this I believe is all the information I can give, I hope they will try and do all they can to find out if he was the identical brother in quest of if dead I would like to know where his bones were laid." Many other names mentioned throughout. State: California City: Date: 1885
