A signed and dated bolo with a carved Indian Chief with matching pattern silver work surrounding. Carved by "Leone" with silver work by Savage, who made most of the larger pieces in this Frank Lewton collection. This carved turquoise is clearly Leekya rock, from the Leekya family mine purchased by the family's patriarch. At present, it is unknown if Leone is a family member of the Leekya family, but the carving detail is nothing short of fantastic. Dated 1978. 3.5 x 4.5", 175grams. [] [] [] [] []
