Rough turquoise - Spider Web. Cut surfaces. Some treated. Largest piece about 2.5" x 2" x 1.5", smallest 1" x 1" x 1". Approximate weight 3.6 pounds. From No. 8 turquoise mine, located in Eureka county, north of Carlin, Nevada. The historic deposit, first discovered in 1925 and mined in 1929, produced a distinctive turquoise with a spider web type matrix in varieties of black to gold brown and colors from dark to light blue, and sometimes green tinted. The mine closed in 1976. Very collectible. You can't find this stuff anymore!
