Hippodrome was built in May of 1907 in 28 days. Dismantled in 1920. One program for Kolb & Dill in "Fiddle-Dee-Dee." The other for Kolb & Dill in "Higgledy Piggledy." Kolb and Dill was the stage name of the vaudeville team founded by Clarence Kolb and Max Dill. They began their act in 1899. In 1901 they headed to San Francisco to perform at Fishers. Their production of Fiddle Dee Dee was so popular that it ran 204 consecutive performances throughout the Pan-American Exposition. All other vaudevillians of the era were compared to Kolb & Dill. What better way to open Goldfield's major theater? Every page has advertisements: Roost Bar, Bank Buffet, Doane & Rosenthal druggists, Jake's Dance Hall, Farley Cafe, Stevens & McAfee painters, Miss Holt dressmaker, etc. Many are not easy to find in traditional resources. .
