This Indenture made the Twelfth a day of December in the ninth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Sixty Eight Between William Dumkley... So begins a contract or deed between two parties written in beautiful hand script on what appears to be parchment paper. There is a signature mark at the bottom of the page which has been authenticated by a red wax seal and a very official-looking embossed paper seal adhered to the left edge just below the title. The second, larger document begins in similar fashion for the year 1773 between the same William Dunkley and another party. This document also bears a red wax seal beside the signature and another embossed paper seal on the left side below the title. These are in amazingly good condition for being more than two centuries old with very legible ink and very little damage to the parchment. They are suitable for framing. The larger document is approx 24 x 20 inches, and the smaller is appox 20 x 14-1/2 inches.
