Two Colorado festival/carnival souvenir pins, both 2 1/4 x 1 1/2 inch, and made by the Schwaab Co. of Milwaukee, Wis., in 1895. Included is the First Annual Festival of Mountain & Plain. Stamped medal hanging from a pinback, with picture of two miners shaking hands. Scarce little souvenir from the first of the annual celebrations of pioneer days in the Old West held in early October in Denver, running from 1895 to 1899, and in 1901, with a final attempt at revival in 1912. Also included is a gold color Flower Carnival Colorado Springs souvenir 1895 pin with sunflower design. See photo for details.
