Lot of 2 different with condition issues. 1) Emerson Gold & Silver Mining Company. Location of Mines: Clear Creek Co., Colorado (printed under title). No. 19, issued in 1880 for 1,000 shares to the company president, Chas. Emerson. Signed by Emerson and secretary C.A. Burgess. Cut cancel through Emerson's sig. Green border and vignette of miner standing next to ore bucket. Folds, staining/discoloration and rough edges on the left border. Owned multiple claims in the Virginia Mining District near Idaho Springs. 2) The Croxton-Harper Prospecting and Mining Company. Located in Gunnison County (according to C&L, 1883). No. 21, issued for 1,000 shares in 1880(?). Signed by John Croxton as president and Otis Miles as secretary. Not cancelled. Black border and print. Very poor condition with large old tap repaired separations and rough edges. Owned the Soladad situated in the Elk Mountain District. Ken Prag Collection
