Lastly, a postal cover addressed to Pacific Coast Borax Co., with Teels Marsh Borax Co. crossed off. Pacific Coast Borax Company was founded by the Death Valley Borax King, Borax Smith in 1890. Teel's Marsh is a playa in Nevada, United States. It was the site of "Borax" Smith's first borax works at Marietta, Nevada in 1872, and became the start of his operations that soon became the largest borax operation in the world. The cover is postmarked 1891. Condition is VG+ except for the Amargosa MC stock which has splits and tears and is poor to fair condition.
