Lot of two. Incorporated in the Territory of Arizona. No. 94 and 402, issued for 17,800 and 3200 shares at Seco, Nevada in August, 1911. Fantastic photographic vignette of the obscure Seco train station in north-eastern Nevada. Outbuildings, headframe, the water tower and the sign which reads “Seco” pictured. Seco, Nevada a.k.a. 10-Mile was one of the original Promentory train stations built in 1869. Crofutt’s New Overland Tourist and Pacific Coast Guide describes Seco as “a side track of no account- as all is sagebrush”. Just west of the Utah border, Seco was located 7 miles from Kelton or Indian Creek. The location of Seco never had a post office and is not listed in Paher. This company is not listed in the 1910 or 1918 Copper or Mines Handbooks. We have no specific information about the Del Monte Mining and Reduction Company and its operations. Heavy vertical folds with rips at edges. Other edge condition issues. State: Nevada City: Seco, Elko County Date: 1911
