Lot of 2 different. Both damaged but could likely still be rare. 1) Adams Oil Company. Inc. in New York. Issued to Henry Smith in 1865. Signed by president Hobart Ford and the secretary. Large hole on right side. Nice oil vignette with derrick, barrels, and a locomotive. 25 cent US IR stamp attached on the left. Halsey Farm in New York. 2) Clifton Petroleum Company. Inc. in New York. Issued to Helene Phipps in 1864. Signed by the secretary and treasurer. Many tape repairs and a bigger piece torn off in the upper left. 6 X 9.5" Possibly New York.
