Lot of 2 different. 1) Paris Consolidated Mining Company. Inc. in Colorado. No. 129, issued for 100 shares in 1882 in Leadville. Signed by president Cracken and the secretary. Not cancelled. Black border and print, gold underprint, and two vignettes: train passing by mountains and underground mining scene. Folds, stains. 8.5 x 10.5" Not listed in C&L, 1883. 2) Colorado Mine Developing Company. No. 1569, issued for 100 shares to TB Rice in 1880 in Leadville. Signed by president John Humphreys and secretary John R. Mathews. Not cancelled. Black border and print. Nice vignette showing a cross-section of mining activity with machinery on the surface and miners working underground. Printed by Woodward, Kernan, & Hale, St. Louis. 7 x 9.5" Extremely fine condition. The company owned 5 claims on Mount Zion, 4 miles north of Leadville. These claims included The Grey Fox, The Red Fox, The Honest John, The War Eagle, and The Windsor. The Ten Mile extension of the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad passed within a "hundred rods of the property." (Ref: company prospectus)
