Lot of 2. 1) The Monitor Mining Company. Inc. in Dakota. No. 17, issued for 1,000 shares to George Cussels on Nov. 6th, 1886 ion Deadwood. Signed by president McPherson and secretary Laughton. Stamp cancelled in purple ink. Small certificate (5.5 x 9") with black border and print, mining vignette. Very clean. Seth Bullock was on the board of directors. According to E&MJ Vol. 48, the company was paying a dividend and bought interest in the Gentle Annie Lode. 2) New Era Mining Company. No. 100, issued for 1,000 shares to MJ Lincoln on March 8th, 1887. Signed by Kirk Phillips as president and two secretaries. Not cancelled.
