Lot of 2 different. 1) Lawrence & Houseworth, 1864, 240. "Virginia City and Mount Davidson, from the East." Reverse is stamped with their information for their studio at 637 Clay Street, San Francisco. Medium contrast, poor focus. 2) Watkins' New Series Yosemite and Pacific Coast, 26 Montgomery Street, SF. c.1876-79. "Panorama of Virginia City, Nev. No. 1." 4112. California Pan Mill in the foreground. Sharp focus, medium contrast. Carleton E. Watkins photographed the Comstock twice in the mid 1870's at the height of the Big Bonanza strike.
