Lot of 2 different. Both self-identified as Placer County. Both are very rare. 1) New Basil Consolidated Gravel Mining Company. "Big Black Canon Mining District, Placer County, Cal" printed under title. Issued in 1895 for 400 shares. Signed by president CW Richards and secretary Simon. Not cancelled. Fancy design by Britton & Rey. Folds, creases. This company operated two miles east of Westville, Placer County. 2) Booth Gold Mining Company. Issued in 1875 for 200 shares. Signed by the vice president and secretary. Not cancelled. Folds, some staining around the edges. Operated the Orleans mine near Auburn, Placer County.
