Lot of 2 different. 1) Giant Gravel Mining Company. Low cert. number 5, issued for 50 shares to Reinhold Van Warden in Sacramento in 1877. Signed by president Welch and the secretary. Not cancelled. Black border and print. Bancroft & Co., SF. Some toning around edges. This company operated a placer mine on the eastern side of Little Long Valley north of Cromberg, Plumas County. Rare. 2) Summit Mining Company. "Mineral Township, Plumas County, California" printed on certificate. Inc. Dec. 1876. No. 289, issued for 1200 shares to the secretary in SF in 1880. Also signed by president Waggoner. Not cancelled. Vignette of man overlooking mine. No printer noted. Light wear. Operated at Light's Canyon, Indian Valley, Plumas County. Rare.
