Lot of 2 different. 1) St. Louis, Arkansas & Texas Railway. "Cotton Belt Route." Pass no. 2193 issued in 1891 to D. McArthur. Black print with cotton bale vignette, printed on dark green cardstock. The St. Louis, Arkansas and Texas Railway Company in Texas was chartered on January 29, 1886, to acquire the properties of the Texas and St. Louis Railway Company in Texas, which had been sold under foreclosure. 2) The Asherton & Gulf Railway Company. Pass no. 580, issued for 1916 to TH Love, I&GN Railway. Black print on tan cardstock. This line started out as the Nueces Valley, Rio Grande and Mexico Railway Company in 1905, and was chartered to build a line from the International & Great Northern Railway at Artesian Wells, to Carizzo Springs, Texas. The following year, an additional 20 miles of the line was built to Asherton, TX, and the railroad was renamed the Asherton & Gulf Railway.
